Academic - Pre Primary Level

Education is a life long journey...
The purpose of pre-primary education is to prepare children physically, emotionally, socially and mentally to enter grade 1 of primary school. It is here that the foundation for the love of learning is first formed and strengthened.
Objectives for pre-primary include to:
·         enhance the physical development of children
·         train young children to follow instructions of the teacher
·         encourage childrens imagination and creativity
·         train children to be disciplined
·         facilitate the learning of different movements
·         create an environment for children to be happy and enjoy themselves
·         train children in memorizing
The importance of early childhood education is now a well-recognized fact, that children need enriched environment, intellectual stimulation and plenty of opportunity for socialization of the same age group. Various techniques for teaching are adopted in a playable manner which involves clay modeling, painting, alphabets on toys, number games etc..
Bridging the gap between the nurturing environment of home and the disciplined demands of formal education is the primary goal of the school.
The De Paul Public School Kindergarten is housed in a separate building, to ensure extra care of the young children. Everything about the KG section has been made to ensure that children enjoy a worthwhile learning experience. Delivery of learning is led by expert teachers who possess a genuine passion for teaching and affection for little children. The school ensures that learning is an enjoyable activity for its children.
Our Kindergarten combines the traditional …………… method with a more interactive participatory approach. The curriculum and methodology are designed to ensure that the child adds value to his/her growth each and every moment of his life.
The philosophy of play
The philosophy of learning at the Kindergarten is child centered. Naturally the main thrust on learning methods is the one that emphasizes play. This philosophy is directly based on the famous educationist and psychologist Piagets ideals that children should actively participate in their world and involve themselves in the various hands-on activities.
This will ensure that they are not passive learners but little scientists and discoverers who are actively engaged.
Lots of fun and loads of learning
Play forms the keynote for all learning and teaching at the Kindergarten. Teacher-facilitated activities like singing, dancing, histrionics, storytelling and physical education expose the children to a world where learning is fun and exciting. Children realize that learning can actually be fun when you do it in this manner. And our target is that children should achieve all-round development, which encompasses emotional and social development, promotion of gross and fine motor skills and the improvement of linguistic and academic skills.
